Foley effects
Foley sounds are custom sounds effects that you make for your media product. These sounds include crab, (for mr crabs seen in the video above at 02:46) sword/knife hitting on metal (for avatar the last Airbender seen at 04:23), wet top, leaves. With these sound effects they help the audience feel like what they're is real. They are also known as off-screen sound since the sound is recorded after the footage is created.
Wild tracks
Wild tracks is sounds that is recorded on set. Sounds recorded on set are, dialogue, foley, ambient sound. At 0:14 we can see how the microphone is placed in the water which captures the ambient sound inside of the water. This is to help the audience feel like they're at that atmosphere otherwise the audience would just listen to a silent background.
Theme music for the sequence
The music and dialogue of the Intro of avatar the last Airbender will be played at the start of the show. This is so that the audience is able to identify/remember the show when it is being played. This would cause the audience to remember the show and then look it up and potentionally watch it.
Film Score
A film score is music used specifically for the show at the beginning and end of a scene to show that this is what the programme is about. The video above is a soundtrack from avatar the last Airbender and the music is used to add emotion to the drama/scene so that they can feel like that the emotions that the drama is feeling.
Character's Signature tune
A characters specific tune is when a character enters the scene/that they're here. At One Piece live action whenever Arlong comes on scene this music would play. Often the music would indicate the character's role in the show if they're an antagonist. As we can see from the music that Arlong is mysterious and sets the emotion for the character to build up tension.
Incidental music
Incidental music is used to create a spooky atmosphere whenever something happens in the movie/programme. As we can see with the video above this music is used for Beethoven, which creates tension whenever an incident happens since the audience knows this music is used for incidents in the movie/programme.
Voice over
Voice over is a technique where you record voices off screen to match a character. As seen from the video above we can see how each characters from the film frozen are doing voice overs for each character to give them a sense of identity. This makes the film/programme less boring and more appealing to the audiences eye.
Scripted speech
Scripted speech is speech that is written down in advance to give the person reading it (actor) an idea on how to present their speech for the scenes. At 3:23 we can see how it's good to have speech which has formal structure, the way the speech would be said and where the pauses and emphasis will be shown.
